It was nice for me to get away from the fog and take a trip to see a food festival. In Gilroy, a warm and sunny town in the US, people celebrate(庆祝) one of the best food festivals —the Gilroy Garlic Festival. Gilroy is famous for its delicious garlic(大蒜) food. This year the festival was great! It was all about food and fun.
There were many kinds of foods and all of them had a garlic flavor. I think the garlic fries were the best. The fries were dark golden in color, with the fresh smell of garlic. The main dish of the festival was garlic ice cream. It was wonderfully sweet. What's more(而且), it was free. There was even garlic chocolate and pizzas. I was surprised that there were so many kinds of garlic foods. The festival was full of surprises. Some even said there were kangaroos and crocodiles(袋鼠和鳄鱼), too. But I don't think it was true. The wonderful garlic flavor makes the Gilroy Garlic Festival a special part of summertime.
