Everyone_has_his_or_her_own_hobby_and_so_do_I. I like singing. When I have music class, it is a good time for me to learn to sing from my music teacher. After class, I often listen to the tapes and practice singing. When I am with my friends and classmates, I will sing with them. I like different songs, including English songs and Chinese songs. Sometimes I will forget the words, so I copy them on a notebook, then I will no longer forget them. Singing makes me happy and relaxed. After singing a song, I will be full of energy. That is good for my health and study.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ A woman in a lab coat stands in front of a group of school children. As she pours hot water into a box of liquid gas in the front of the classroom, the children cheer and clap their hands.
The woman is Kate Biberdorf. She runs a program called Fun with Chemistry which is aimed at getting children interested in science. The demonstrations(ÑÝʾ), such as the one she has just finished, are designed to be interesting and exciting and show children basic rules of chemistry.
Most of the demonstrations involve ¡°explosions(±¬Õ¨)¡± and ¡°fire¡± which are wonderful to watch. One of the demonstrations is called ¡°Elephant's Toothpaste.¡± Biberdorf creates some foam(ÅÝÄ) that increases very quickly in size in the classroom. There is so much foam that it seems as if the foam can be used to clean the teeth of a big animal like an elephant. In another demonstration, Biberdorf makes a fire on her hand and sets a balloon on the fire.
There are also demonstrations designed for certain festivals. For example, Biberdorf uses pumpkins on Halloween. She pours some liquid into a pumpkin. The liquid then explodes inside the pumpkin and makes holes on it. The final product is a jacko'lantern(ÄϹϵÆ) with two ¡°eyes¡± and a ¡°mouth¡± made by the explosion.
Biberdorf and her program are popular among school children. She_is_happy_when_children_tell_her_how_excited_they_are_after_watching_her_performances._ She is encouraged by their words and is designing more performances. What a great teacher!

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ My family moved into this house nine years ago and we called the area in front of our house ¡°rock garden¡± as it was full of rocks.
Last summer, I found a tiny little plant in the _____ but I didn't know its name. I _____ I didn't plant it. We decided to let it continue growing until we could_____ what it was.
After a month and as I made my way back to the mysterious plant, I found it seemed to be a sunflower. I decided to treat it _____ and remove the weeds (ÔÓ²Ý) around it. As I pulled _____ from the area to get to remove the weeds, I noticed something unusual. The sunflower had not started_ where I saw the stalk(¾¥) to grow. It had begun _____ under a big rock.
That's when I realized that_____ a tiny little sunflower didn't let a big rock stand in its way of developing, we would also have the ability to do the same thing. We need to believe in ourselves, knowing we have the _____ to achieve our aims. Like the sunflower, it was sure to be_____.
Stand tall like the sunflower and be proud of who and what you are, and the environment will begin to______ you. You will find a way to reach your goals.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ A teacher from Ghana has received worldwide praise after people saw a photo showing him teaching students how to use Microsoft Word on a blackboard.
Richard Appiah Akoto teaches computer classes at a middle school in rural Ghana. However, there are no computers at school. To solve the problem, Akoto tries to draw computer screenshots (ÆÁÄ»½Øͼ) onto the blackboard with colored chalks.
He spends about 30 minutes making these drawings. He draws every detail and feature (ÌØÕ÷) of the software, including all the tools and the scroll bars (¹ö¶¯Ìõ). To_make_room_for_the_next_class,_these_drawings_will_be_cleaned_when_the_computer_class_is_over. Therefore, Akoto has to draw new screenshots every time.
Akoto has taught computer class for six years and this is not the first time he has taught his students with drawings on the blackboard. He has taught his students how to turn on and off a computer and create a folder (Îļþ¼Ð) in the same way.
Akoto was happy when one of his students got an ¡°A¡± in the national exam on computer skills last year. He says he loves his students, and this is why he needs to do everything that will make them understand what he is teaching.
