¡¾´ð°¸¡¿After-class Service

According to the fact, after-class service becomes more popular in the modern society. It does a lot of good to students, but it also has negative view which we cannot ignored.

Most parents work as doctors, shop assistances can¡¯t pick up their children when school is over. If their children stay at school, they will feel more reassured. On the other hand, some parents with low education can¡¯t help their children with their study when they have problems. If students do their homework after class at school, teachers can offer help at any time. However, There are two sides in one thing. It¡¯s not so good for students to spend so much time at school. They need time to relax and exercise. As winter comes, it gets dark earlier. It is not safe for students on their way home. All in all, I think after-class service may force the students to attend additional classes and lengthen the time they spend on studying. This may make them feel tired of studying.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ The human brain is very small and light only two percent of our total body weight, but it needs about 20% of the oxygen(ÑõÆø) that our body takes in. We can't think well if our brain isn't getting enough oxygen, so always make sure there is enough oxygen in the air when you need to learn or remember something. No one can remember everything. but everyone can learn how to improve their memory. Here are some suggestions ---none of them can make your memory 100% perfect, but all of them are helpful.

When you want to remember something, tell a friend about it. This way the new information becomes more memorable. Later on, think about the conversation with your friend. It will remind you of the information you wanted to remember.

Don't over-train your brain. When you've remembered a list of new words, stop studying. It's better to study a lot of material for a small amount of time than a small amount of material for a lot of time! But remember you do have to practice your new words regularly!

Our memory works well when we are asleep. If you want to remember something, go to bed and go to sleep right now after learning it.

If you have to remember something big, divide it into small parts. It's easier to remember 198756430387 if you divide it into four smaller bits:198-756-430-387.

If you want to remember a piece of information, and you can't, don't get angry. Relax and tell yourself, "If it's important, I will remember it later.¡±

One of the best ways of remembering is to make pictures on the movie-screen of your mind and it's fun, too! Scientists say that our brain works a lot in pictures. So sometimes, if we want to remember new information, it helps to make a picture story. Anyone can learn to do this.

¡¾4¡¿Which of the following is TRUE according to the passage?

Pearl S. Buck was the first American woman to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature. She wrote more than one hundred books. But most people remember Pearl S. Buck for her novels about China. She knew the country and its people very well. For nearly forty years, China was her home.

Pearl's parents were Caroline and Absalom Sydenstricker. They were religious workers in China. In 1892, they were visiting the United States when Pearl was born in Hillsboro, West Virginia. Three months after her birth, the family left the United States and moved back to China.

Pearl and her family lived among Chinese people. Pearl's education began at home. Her mother taught her many of the things she would have learned in an American school.
