Here are several reasons. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________
¡¾´ð°¸¡¿At present, only a few students do some reading after class. Here are several reasons.? First of all, quite a lot of students are busy with too much homework. Still others haven¡¯t formed the habit of reading. They would rather spend their spare time on TV or on the Internet.
However, reading is very important. By reading we can learn more about the world. Besides, it can help us develop the way of thinking. Last but not least, reading can make our life more colorful.
There is still something we can do to help the students read more books.? For one thing, teachers are supposed to cut down our homework so that we can have more time to read. For another, it¡¯s a good idea to build reading clubs so that students can read more books.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿More Americans prefer to get food at their local food markets. According to a new study of the University of Iowa (UI), it¡¯s not just because these people believe the food is fresher and tastes better, but because they think they are following a kind of social duty ¡ª sharing a healthy lifestyle, helping save environment and so on.
These so-called ¡°locavores (ÍÁʳÕß)¡± are shopping at farmers markets and joining food coops (ʳƷºÏ×÷Éç), because they enjoy knowing who grows the food. They are also driven to eat locally grown produce and meat because their promise to do so makes them feel a part of something greater than themselves.
Vasi, an associate professor at the UI, said the local food market is a ¡°moralized (µÀµÂ»¯µÄ) market¡±, and that is a market in which people combine economic activities with their values. Among the findings, the UI researchers discovered local food markets were more likely to develop in areas where local people had a strong promise to social duty, health and the environment. ¡°It¡¯s about valuing the relationship with the farmers and people who produce the food and believing that how they produce the food agrees with your personal values.¡± Vasi said.???
Vasi shared the results of the study at the American Sociology Association annual meeting in Chicago on Aug. 22, 2015. Researchers also did 40 interviews with consumers and producers in different local food markets in Iowa and New York.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿When you talk with someone, you¡¯ll need to end your conversation at some point. And there are many reasons why you need to do that. Either you or the other person may need to continue an activity such ¡¾1¡¿ working or shopping. Or you may have run out of things to say. You just want to keep the conversation short.
But? ¡¾2¡¿? do you end a conversation in a polite way? It may depend on where and how the conversation started. It may also depend on your relationship with the? ¡¾3¡¿?? person. If you already know that person, you can just say, ¡°I need to run now.¡± Or you can say, ¡°I¡¯ll catch you later.¡± You may also give a reason for ending the conversation. ¡°I really need to go---my piano class starts in ten? ¡¾4¡¿? .¡±
Perhaps you just meet someone in a social situation, and you have a nice talk. But then you have to go. You can say, ¡°It was nice meeting you. Maybe we can talk happily? ¡¾5¡¿? sometime in the future.¡±
Another way to end a conversation is to make it easy for the other person to ¡¾6¡¿ . If you see the other person is already not patient, you can say, ¡°Well,?? I¡¯ m sure
you have a lot to do today.¡±
You could use these ¡¾7¡¿ to end a conversation, and you should notice that others may also use them. ¡¾8¡¿ they do so, you should know that it¡¯s time for you to stop
and get on with your day.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿Next time you hear yourself wishing for something better in your life, remember the word ¡°SMART¡±. When you¡¯ve decided to take action, read the following first.

M is for measurable (¿É²âÁ¿µÄ): Don¡¯t try to ¡°become healthy¡±, instead, set a goal that can be measured while carrying out an improved eating, exercise or lifestyle plan. For example, try to go to the gym for an hour three times a week, to visit your grandma once a week for an evening meal, or to eat no more than 200 grams of chocolate a week.
A is for achievable(¿ÉÍê³ÉµÄ): If you¡¯ve never exercised in your life, don¡¯t try to take part in the 2020 Olympics. Rather, get walking with a specific goal of how many steps to take a day. No need to try for the stars¡ªbaby steps are good.
R is for relevant (Ç¡µ±µÄ): Many of us choose goals that seem right, but are in fact wrong. They may go on for a few weeks before they fail. Try to avoid making the same mistake¡ªrather choose goals that really speak to you.
T is for time-conscious (ÐÄÖÐÓÐÊýµÄ): Finally, be very clear in your mind about how much time you are giving yourself to achieve the goal. That way, you know when you¡¯ve succeeded, failed or whether you need to work harder to finish it before the last day.
