¡¾´ð°¸¡¿It¡¯s so great to choose the seat myself in the Senior High School. My classmate Mary wants to sit near the teacher¡¯s desk, so she chooses Number 5 in Row 1. She makes this choice because she wants to listen more carefully and see clearly during the class. John is another classmate of mine. Unlike Mary, he chooses Number 3 in Row 3, which is a little bit far from the teacher¡¯s desk. This is because he is tall and likes to be with classmates around.
As for me, I would like to choose Number 4 in Row 1, in front of the teacher¡¯s desk. On one hand, I am near-sighted. On the other hand, I want to stay alone during the class because this can let me pay attention to what the teacher says.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿F.Scott Fitzgerald, born on September 24,1896, an American novelist, was once a student of St.Paul Academy, the Newman School and attended Princeton. University for a short while. In 1917 he joined the army and was posted in Alabama, where he met his future wife Zelda Sayre. Then he had to make some money to impress her.
His life with her was full of great happiness, as he wrote in his diary:¡° My own happiness in the past often got such joy that I could share it even with the person dearest to me but had to walk it away in quiet streets and take down parts of it in my diary.¡±
This side of paradise, his first novel, was published in 1920. Encouraged by its success, Fitzgerald began to devote more time to his writing. Then he continued with the novel the Beautiful and Damned (1922), a collection of short stories Thales of the Jazz Age (1922), and a play The Vegetable (1923). But his greatest success was the novel The Great Gatsby, published in 1925, which quickly brought him praise from the literary world. Yet it failed to give him the needed financial security. Then, in 1926, he published another collection of short stories All the Sad Young Men.
However, Fitzgerald¡¯s problems with his wife Zelda had an effect on his writing. During the 1920s he tried to reord his life, but failed. By 1930, his wife had her first break down and went to a Swiss clinic. During this period he completed novels Tender Is the Night in 1934 and The love of the last Tycoon in 1940. How to be green
How green are you? Answer these questions and find out.
Do you walk or ride a bike to school?
Do you turn off the lights when you leave the room?
Do you buy drinks in bottles? And what do you 51.¡¾1¡¿ the bottles when they are empty?
We all need a 52.¡¾2¡¿(health) environment, but we produce waste every day. It is harmful to 53.¡¾3¡¿(we) environment. Repeat these three words daily: Reduce, Reuse and Recycle. ¡°Re¡± means ¡°again¡±. It is one of 54.¡¾4¡¿(important) things to be green.
Reduce means ¡°use less¡±. Do not waste things. Do not order more food 55.¡¾5¡¿ you can finish. Turn off the lights when you do not need them. Before you buy something new, think 56.¡¾6¡¿ it is really necessary or because maybe the old one is just as good!
Reuse means ¡°use again¡±. Use 57.¡¾7¡¿ (thing) for as long as possible. Look after them so that they will last. Repair them of possible. Do not throw them away and buy new ones at once. Do not use paper cups or paper bags. It is better to use china(ÌÕ´É) cups and cloth bags because they can 58.¡¾8¡¿(use) many times.
Recycle means ¡°change things into something else¡±. Although it takes energy, it is better than throwing things away. So far, we 59.¡¾9¡¿(throw) tons of rubbish away in our daily life, and we have to make a change from now on. Develop a recycling policy for the whole. Buy products such as recycled paper to help save trees.
We cannot hope for 60.¡¾10¡¿ rapid change, but let¡¯s take these simple steps today for our future.
