Florence Nightingale was born in Italy on May 12th, 1820. She was from a rich family. When she was 24, she told her parents she wanted to be a nurse. But they didn’t like that idea. Nurses were not well respected

She died at the age of ninety, still trying to serve others through her work as a nurse．In fact, it is because of her that we honor nurses today．
