Most of the workers said they chose their jobs out of love and interest in the area. Many of the jobs are no longer specific to one gender. For example, the report found that one-third of child care workers are men. 4. Many of these jobs are in the service industry. Economic development means people have more money to spend and are in greater need of high-quality services, China News Service noted. For example, more people have started to raise pets.
