I'm glad to hear that you're interested in Chinese musical instruments and folk music. Guzheng, Pipa and Erhu are all traditional Chinese musical instruments and Erhu is my favorite. Now, l’d like to tell you something about Erhu and a piece of classical music played on Erhu.

Erhu is one of the traditional Chinese musical instruments. It appeared with the name of Xiqin in North China in Tang Dynasty. It has been around for over 1,000 years by now. Erquan Yingyue is one of the most famous pieces of music played on Erhu,which was written by a famous folk musician Hua Yanjun. Actually, people prefer to call Mr. Hua Abing. Erquan Yingyue is a master work of Abing which paints a picture of Abing's own hard life. It sounds so sad that I almost cry along with it every time I listen to it. I believe you can also sense the sadness behind the beauty if you listen to it.
