Ban Ki-moon became the eighth UN Secretary-General in 2006. Before then,he was a diplomat (外交官) in South Korea,where he served as the foreign minister (外交部长). His diplomatic service started after graduating from college. His first post was at his nation's embassy (大使馆) in India He quickly got a reputation for his diplomatic skills.
