     500 happy volunteers (志愿者) have started to work at an orphanage (孤儿院) in India．A large
number of poor children have been given homes by some organizations throughout India．These children
lost their parents and didn't have any of the joys of childhood. They need love, care and education．
Volunteers working in our Help the Orphans program in India will provide support to these children by
helping them to have a happy life.
     Even a little help from you at an orphanage can be very important for these children. Spend time with
them. Tell them stories. Share their dreams. Working in an orphanage is a truly wonderful experience.
     A volunteer helping in an orphanage helps the children with their day-to-day activities, such as doing
homework, making notes, playing, teaching them about health. You can also take them out for picnics.
     The project is in New Delhi and its nearby villages. You must be 17 years or older if you want to be a
volunteer here. Before you start the volunteer work you have to take a week-long language & culture
course. The course can provide you with important language instructions, safety and cultural knowledge.
As a volunteer, you will also be given a 2-day tour around New Delhi to see the city's beautiful sights.
