Do you know what personality is? What can be learnt from the knowledge of personality?
First, when we talk about personality, we usually look for things that make a person different from others or things that can explain how a person is not the same as others. For example, people who enjoy going out and spending time with others are called extroverts. They are full of energy in noisy environments. They need to be with lots of people. When they are in smaller groups, or by themselves, they feel bored. Others who are quiet and like to spend more time at home reading and doing their own things are called introverts. They don't like environments with loud noises. That's not to say they don't enjoy parties. Who doesn't love a good party? If they feel tired, they will stay with a few close friends, or even be alone. Do you know which personality type you are? Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
Second, how can the knowledge about personality help us? Well, by knowing how people behave and why they behave in a certain way, we can understand them better and communicate with them more easily. For example, if we know that some people are introverts, we will understand why they don't feel comfortable when they are with a big group of strangers. We may then help them make friends and talk to others. The knowledge about personality can also help us improve ourselves.
