¡¾´ð°¸¡¿My dear friends,
China is facing a new virus crisis this year. The sudden virus has made our life very different. As a middle school student, we can do a lot to protect ourselves.
Firstly, don¡¯t go to crowded places. Remember to wear masks when we are in public places. Secondly, we¡¯d better drink much more water and eat fruits because they are good for our health. Thirdly, don¡¯t rub our eyes or pick our nose, either. Instead, we should wash our hands as often as possible. Fourthly, if we have a fever or cough, don¡¯t forget to tell our parents or teachers at once. And finally, how about doing some exercise every day? It can help us (to) fight the virus.
These are my ideas and I wish everyone can do better personal protection.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ Ladies and gentlemen, I returned to this year in a time machine. In the year 2500, we are able to travel through time to any year in the history of the earth. This year is your last chance to change your lifestyle to save the earth.
Beginning in the middle of the 20th century, a few people were worried about polluting the earth¡¯s water and air, but most people did not change their way of life. Instead, they continued to pour dangerous chemicals and other waste into lakes and seas, to drive more and more cars and trucks, and to cut down trees.
By the year 2200, the earth¡¯s water was completely polluted. People could no longer drink water, and they had to use other types of liquids.
So, by the year 2300, there were so many people that food became scarce. There was no water to grow food and all of the fish in the lakes and seas died because of the pollution. Terrible wars broke out between the rich and the poor. Scientists were working very hard to find another planet in space where humans could live.
By the year 2400, the air was too polluted for humans to breathe. So we had to leave the earth. Where did we go? Nowhere. The scientists did not find another safe planet, so now we must travel around the universe in our spaceships. We are still looking for a place to call our home.
So, it is up to change history. There is still hope. You must change your lifestyle now, before it is too late.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ There¡¯s a saying, ¡°When in Rome, do as the Romans do.¡± So when you eat Western food, do as the ______ do. Here are some things you may need to know about ______ together in the West.
In some Western countries, lunch is eaten later, always after midday, sometimes at one o¡¯clock. Dinner is served around 7 pm or even later. In Spain it¡¯s usual to have lunch at 3 pm and dinner at 10 pm!
At the ______ of a meal, the Chinese usually say ¡°manman chi¡±. The French say ¡°Bon appetit (×£ÄãºÃθ¿Ú)¡±, and the Italians say ¡°Buon appetite (Ç뾡ÇéÏíÓÃ)¡±. But there¡¯s nothing similar to say in English! ¡°Enjoy your meal¡± is usually only said by a waiter.
Chopsticks are used ______ people eat Chinese food. Knives and forks are used for most Western food. The fork is held in your left hand and the knife in your right, and the food is held with the fork and ______ with the knife. Americans often cut all their food first, and then put the fork in their right hand to eat it. Soup is eaten ______ a spoon. However, there is some food which can be eaten with your fingers, such as chicken legs, seafood, bread and cake.
During the meal, if you¡¯re the ______, you¡¯ll be invited to serve yourself (¡°Help yourself. ¡±). If you¡¯re given something you don¡¯t like, you can just ______, for example, ¡°I¡¯m sorry. I can¡¯t eat this. ¡± No one will be ______. If you¡¯re offered more food, but can¡¯t eat any more, just say, ¡°No, thanks. It was delicious, but I¡¯ve had enough.¡±
It is sometimes difficult to know when the meal is over. If you¡¯re invited to dinner by Western friends, you¡¯ll know that you¡¯re ______ to stay and talk around the dinner table long after the last dish is brought to the table, and it¡¯s thought quite rude if you leave as soon as you finish eating.
The golden rule is: Watch the other people. Do as they do.
