Great changes have taken place in Chinese family life in the past 60 years. With the development of economics (经济).people's living conditions have improved greatly.

When my grandparents were young, they lived in dark and low houses and dressed in bad quality (质量)clothes. And they didn't have enough food, sometimes they couldn't eat for a long time. At that time, they dreamed of new clothes and enough food.

When it came to my parents ， the life was a little better. They lived in the house covered with tiles (瓦片).but without any modern equipment (设备). Though the quality of clothes became a little better, they still lived a hard life. During their times ， they couldn't have new clothes in almost a year. And the food was very limited (有限的).only wheat or rice.

Having meat was in their dreams.

We live in buildings with modern equipment. We live comfortably and happily without worrying about food and clothes.
