Why Reading is So Important?

Everyone knows that reading is important, but have you ever asked yourself why that is so? In this post, I will list out 5 reasons why reading is important. I hope you can really find out the reason why reading is so important for you.

1.__________

Reading does help you form a better you, doesn't it? Through reading, you begin understand the world more. Through reading, you begin to have a greater understanding on a topic that interests you; for example: how to build self-confidence, how to make plan better before taking action, how to memorize things better and more.

2.__________

The more you read, the more you understand one thing: the A to Z of a thing. It can also help you find out the truth of something, right? Reading also increases the understanding of the rules of life. To play well in a game, you first need to understand the rules well.

3.__________

Before you take action on anything, reading is a starting step of many things. For example, read about how to cook a meal; how to play chess; which place is nice for the holiday family trip; read the menu before ordering food. These all can help you become more prepared before you really get into it.

4.__________

When you are reading, you are actually gaining the knowledge and experience of someone. Life is too short for you to keep repeating the mistakes that had been done by other people in the past, in order for you to reach the results that someone might have already reached. Reading is a great path to get to know and learn from these great people.

Reading connects you with the world. If you don't read, you won't understand what people are talking about out there, including understanding what this article is all about. As you understand more, you can communicate better with people.

We brush our teeth every day but few people know how well we’re brushing. Today, a French company has introduced an electric toothbrush, which can work wirelessly (无线地) with a smartphone.

It’s called the Kolibree toothbrush. It has different models, and will cost from $99 to $200.

Users download an app and connect via Bluetooth, and the Kolibree will record 1) the time you spent brushing teeth, 2) whether all areas of your mouth are reached, 3) whether you brush up and down instead of just side to side. Then it will send the information to a mobile phone via Bluetooth, telling you whether you have brushed in a proper way. The Kolibree app records your progress and scores your brushing way to help you improve brushing habits.

The toothbrush will also be able to talk to other apps on your phone, so developers could create a game controlled by your toothbrush. That would be very interesting.

The Kolibree toothbrush was invented by Thomas Serval. He says the idea of inventing it came from his experience as a father. He would come home from work and ask his kids if they had brushed their teeth. They always answered “yes”, but Thomas used to find their toothbrush

heads dry. He decided that a kind of brush was needed to tell him how well they brushed their teeth. Thomas says that one day, it’ll be possible to use a brushing unit with a camera. The camera can even examine holes in your teeth while you brush.
