Good morning, everyone!I think everyone will agree with the saying that ¡°Failure is the mother of success.¡±

¡¾´ð°¸¡¿Good morning, everyone!I think everyone will agree with the saying that ¡°Failure is the mother of success.¡± When I was in Grade 7,I took part in the 100-meter race in the school sports meeting.I was not fast enough to win any prize. And I was really sad.But my mother told me not to give up.So I kept practicing running after school every day and won first prize in the race in the following year. From this experience,I learn that we should never give up when we are facing difficulties. And I think if we try hard enough,we¡¯ll finally succeed.

Don¡¯t be afraid of failures. If you learn how to deal with failures, you will surely taste success in the end.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿About the year 1900, a small dark-haired boy named Charlie Chaplin was often seen waiting outside the back entrances of London theatres. He looked thin and hungry, but his blue eyes were determined(¼á¶¨µÄ). He was hoping to get work in show business. He could sing and dance, and above all, he knew how to make people laugh.

His own father had died from drinking too much. And his mother wasn¡¯t really able to look after Charlie. She was often sick in mind and had to be sent to hospital. So he was sent to a home for children who had no parents. He was cold and poor there and the children were punished for small mistakes.

Thirty years later this same Charlie Chaplin became the king of comedy. Many people must have seen some of his films. People everywhere have sat and laughed at them until tears flowed down their eyes. Even people who don¡¯t understand English can enjoy Chaplin¡¯s films because they are mostly silent. It isn¡¯t what he said that makes us laugh. His comedy doesn¡¯t depend upon words. It depends upon little actions which mean the same thing to people all over the world. From his very first appearance they know what to expect from the modest little man with the black moustache(Сºú×Ó), wide-open eyes, round black hat and shoes too large for his feet.
