Yun Mountain lies in the south of Wugang, Shaoyang. It's 5 kilometers away from the urban district (市区). It's 1, 372.5 meters high above sea level, and its average(平均）temperature is 15° C. In 1992, Yun Mountain was authorized(批准）as a state forest park.
Yun Mountain has a long history. Buddhism has spread here since Sui and Tang Dynasty. There are also many beautiful stories about Yun Mountain. It once made the Emperor Zhao Gou in Song Dynasty quite amazed. And Hua Guofeng, the former (以前的)state leader, titled Yun Mountain as "Chu Nan Sheng Jing". It means Yun Mountain is a wonderland in the south of Hunan.
Yun Mountain is famous for its wonderful peaks (山峰)，fresh water, quiet woods and cloud changes. It is a good place not only for tourists but also for people on vacation.
