It is around midnight when Louise wakes up. At first she doesn’t know what wakes her up,but suddenly she hears a noise. It is coming from downstairs (楼下) . She sees her cat licking (添) the milk off the floor. It knocks its bowl over and is now licking everything clean again. That is the noise.
She gets herself a glass of water and goes straight back to bed.
