A desert is a large land of sand. There is very little rain and not many plants. The size and the place of the world's desert are always changing. In the last hundred years,deserts have become more and more. That's mainly because of men. In the nineteenth century some people brought a kind of little animal called rabbit to Australia from England. Today there are millions of them. They eat every plant they can see. The great desert in the center of Australia is becoming bigger.
