    People celebrate holidays by spending time together．These days，everyone is so busy that it is hard to find time for family activities．Holidays are great time for each member of the family to get together and get relaxed．Sometimes people wear special clothes and eat special food．For example，on St．Patrick's Day，people use green to celebrate the day．People may eat green food which are shaped like a shamrock （三叶草）．
    People also celebrate some holidays with parades （游行）．There are large parades in many cities and towns．One of the largest holiday parades in America is the Macy's Parade in New York City．It is held every year on Thanksgiving Day．It is to celebrate both Thanksgiving and Christmas．It attracts more than 3.5 million people to the streets of
    Manhattan every year，and it is watched by nearly 50 million people on TV．
