Right from childhood，my brothers began to play ice hockey(冰球)with me．They all me to become an ice hockey player some day．My mom didn’t agree，and she __me into the skating although I always had a strong hope for ice hockey．
Finally we reached an agreement that I became the referee(裁判)of ice hockey．Little did I know that 1 was beginning an activity that would my character．At first I only worked with my brothers．Everyone was and we got along quite well with each other．I soon realized that I needed to work with other people，and that’s when my experience changed．As I began dealing with more coaches who acted in unpleasant ways，all I wanted to do was to get through each game and then be able to ．without getting into trouble．Although as a referee I tried my best in every match，they sometimes shouted at me．That made me feel ，but I decided not to let them drive me away．
I made the to stand up for myself．I never answered rudely to the coaches，but I did not let them destroy my confidence any more．There were still a few situations that made me afraid．0nce I called a penalty(判罚)and the team ended up losing．I knew I had made the right call，even though I was when I saw that team’s fans waiting for me at my room. I stood my ground and overcame my fears(克服恐惧)．

The famous scientist and thinker， Charles Darwin， was born on February 12， 1809. His family lived not far from the River Severn， England.

It also visited New Zealand， Australia and islands in the Pacific. Darwin saw many new plants and animals. He collected all kinds of plants， which he sent home from the places he visited.
When he returned home， Darwin was warmly greeted by his families and many friends.
In 1842， Darwin went to live in Kent(肯特)， where he continued his studies of the changes in nature. Darwin understood that plants and animals are not always the same， and that they really change.
By 1859， Darwin had finished his famous book The Origin of Species（《物种起源》）. It made a great hit in the world of science. He was opposed(反对) by the church and even by some scientists. But later， more and more scientists agreed with him.
Darwin continued his studies in science until he died in 1882.
