We went on a school camping trip last weekend. It was past 11:00 p.m. on Saturday. My best friend Shawn and I were in our tent. As we were talking, suddenly I saw a shadow (影子)pass along our tent. Later,it came closer, stopped at the entrance to the tent and then moved away. I took a flashlight, opened the tent and looked out.
The night sky was dark and there were many clouds. Everything was silent. Shawn and I decided to see what was going on,so we put on our shoes quickly and walked out of the tent.
I felt scared, but Shawn seemed not. It was not very cold outside but I was still shaking. We went to the next tent and called to our two classmates there. But no one answered. When I went into the tent,I found it was empty. I looked at Shawn and then I hurried to another tent. It was empty, too.
I wondered what was going on. I looked around and saw nothing but just darkness. Finally,we decided to go to the place where we had supper that evening. As we were walking,we heard the night animals making tiny noises. I got really scared.
Then I felt something tap (轻拍) me on the shoulder. I cried loudly and ran towards my tent. Suddenly, the lights came on and I saw Shawn,my other classmates and teachers standing there laughing.
“Happy birthday,Michael!” shouted everyone. I looked at my watch and saw it was just after midnight.
It was my fifteenth birthday.
