         2008年8月8日晚，北京奥运会开幕式上，一个一身红裙的小女孩站在“鸟巢”中央，歌唱着《我的
    祖国》。她就是林妙可。
                                                                      Lin Miaoke
         Lin Miaoke, a nine-year-old girl, has become one of the biggest winners after the Beijing Olympic Opening
    Ceremony. She sang the song "Ode to the Motherland" (《歌唱祖国》)at the opening ceremony (开幕式) of
    the Beijing Olympics. Her sweet smile and beautiful voice touched almost everyone who was watching the
    opening ceremony.
         The nine-year-old girl is studying at West Street Primary School in Beijing. She first appeared in a television
    advertisement with actress Zhao Wei at the age of 6. Last year, she appeared in a TV ad with Olympic champion
    Liu Xiang and an advertisement for the Beijing Olympics.
         She Was chosen by the famous director (导演) Zhang Yimou among thousands of children. Lin Miaoke is
    very famous now. Her pictures were printed on many newspapers and magazines.
