Yuan Longping is a Chinese agricultural scientist and educator,known for developing the 1 hybrid rice (杂交水稻) varieties in the 1970s. He is called “The Father of Hybrid Rice”. By his achievement,the Earth is able to produce extra rice to feed tens of 2 of population.

The “Super Rice” Yuan is now testing yields 30 percent higher than those of common rice.
