¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿ The Greens got a rather unhappy surprise when they tried to fly from Cardiff to Lanzarote last weekend. Because of a bad mistake at the airline check-in desk, the Greens got on the wrong flight(º½°à) and ended up in Ankara. So how did the mix-up happen?
It was five o¡¯clock on Sunday morning when Charlie and Kate Green arrived at Cardiff airport with their nine-year-old daughter Tina. They checked in properly for their flight to Lanzarote, but the check-in attendant(·þÎñÔ±) made a mistake with their boarding passes and also sent them to the wrong boarding gate. Unluckily, it was so curly and the Greens were feeling so tired that they didn¡¯t notice anything wrong. What was worse, there weren¡¯t any announcements in the boarding gate area.
When the Greens finally got on the plane, Charlie and Kate Green fell asleep at once, though there were interesting films, magazines, newspapers and music for them to choose to spend the boring time. Little Tina took out a history book about Rome and read. Two hours later, she fell asleep too. They didn¡¯t wake up until six hours later, when the plane was landing. Suddenly, the flight attendant said. ¡°Welcome to Ankara!¡± The Greens couldn¡¯t believe it and little Tina was quite unhappy. The family had to get off the plane and then pay 10 for a tourist visa(Ç©Ö¤). In the end, they decided to get back home, arriving at 5:00 p.m. on the same day.

April 27 was a big day for me. It was the tryout (Ñ¡°ÎÈü) day for my school¡¯s drill team (À²À²¶Ó). The drill team is better ¡¾1¡¿ as the Lancer Dancers, who dance at football and basketball games.
If you want to be a Lancer Dancer, you have to try out. All the dancers trying out had spent a week rehearsing (ÅÅÁ·) the dance every morning ¡¾2¡¿ school. I had to wake up at about 5:30 in the morning to practice dancing with my ¡¾3¡¿. That week was probably the most ¡¾4¡¿ week I¡¯ve ever had!
After that week of dance, tryout day ¡¾5¡¿ came. I was nervous ¡¾6¡¿ there were so many girls! After some warm-up practice, ¡¾7¡¿ pair goes in turn to perform a flag, which is a type of dance that involves a flag. Next, the partners perform the dance that we¡¯ve been working on. After the second performance, we show a trick in ¡¾8¡¿ of the judges.
After that, we were all ¡¾9¡¿! I¡¯m sad that my partner didn¡¯t ¡¾10¡¿ the drill team, but I was still so excited that my other friends and I did! It was such a great experience!

Paul was my little brother, and he was special. He was different from me because he sat in a wheelchair, and he was blind. Lots of times when we walked with Paul, other kids came over and asked us why he was in his chair and why he couldn¡¯t s¡¾1¡¿ . They thought he was different because he had his own school bus and had to go to a s¡¾2¡¿ school. But that¡¯s not really the reason. Paul was different for the things just our family knew about¡ªonly we knew the s¡¾3¡¿ that made him special.
Paul helped me hear small sounds. Every time I was w¡¾4¡¿ him, I¡¯d have to beg quietly to hear the flying birds and the talking trees he heard.
Paul helped me exercise. When we went for a walk, we¡¯d often go up hill. When I pushed his chair all the way to the woods at the t¡¾5¡¿, I was really getting my exercise!
Paul h¡¾6¡¿ ever complained£¨±§Ô¹£©. He went along with whatever the rest of us wanted to do. One time when he had a fever, he got uncomfortable, but he never shouted or fought or asked me to switch the TV channel.
Sometimes Paul let me put things in his hand. We played a kind of guessing game. I put different toys there for him to f¡¾7¡¿. He was always surprised when I let him hold something new.
Paul was my friend. He couldn¡¯t talk to me like most of my friends, and he couldn¡¯t run outside to play. But he was t¡¾8¡¿ for all the peaceful times, and he had the best smile in the world.
I was 1¡¾9¡¿ to grow up with him as his sister. He helped me to realize that there is a good side to every situation, if we simply m¡¾10¡¿ the choice to find it.
