Many teachers tell students ahead of time what the form of an exam will be. This can help you tailor (调整) how you study. For example,if you know you're going to have multiplechoice questions on World War II,you'll have to focus on studying facts and details. But if the exam contains essay questions, you'll want to think about which topics are most likely to be covered. Then come up with several possible essaytopics and use your notes, books and other reference sources to solve how you might answer questions on those topics.

As you study, review your notes and any special information from your textbook. Read things over several times if you need to,and write down any phrases or thoughts that will help you remember main ideas.

When trying to memorize dates, names or other information, keep in mind that it usually takes a number of tries to remember something correctly. That's one reason why it's a good idea to start studying in advance (提前) of a test.

In the case of math or science problems,do some practice to work out more problems. Pay special attention to anything the teacher seemed to stress (强调) in class.

Some people find there are many ways to help students to study. Work with a study partner and take turns to teach aloud.  Some of the greatest problems we face today are the destruction (破坏) of our environment, such as brown clouds, polluted water, endangered wild animals . . . These problems seem so huge.

So my family do what we can do. We take cloth bags to stores instead of using plastic bags. If we can walk to a place,we never drive there.

But does it do any good? When I am the only one in line at the market with cloth bags,am I doing any good? Does my walking to stores make any real differences to the world?

I recently learned something about flamingos (火烈鸟) which like to get together in groups of a thousand or more. Every year, when the time for migration (迁徙) comes,a few of them first take off from the lake. But none of the others seem to notice,so the small group returns. However, next day they try again.
