    There are some popular diets that will lead to successful weight loss if you follow them exactly as they are designed. That means you have to change your own eating habits to fit the diets' rules.

    The__closer__the__food__is__to__its__natural__state,__the__better__it__is__for__us. Fresh fruits are good for our health. Vegetables have lots of vitamins and minerals. So you had better eat more vegetables. Cook them to keep the most value and be careful with sauces. They may be high in fats that aren't good for you.

    Shop for lean meat(瘦肉) and don't forget the fish. Lean meat may be healthier than higher fat beef. Serve seafood two or three times per week. Baked fish and chicken are healthier than the fried. And hot dogs, bacon and sausages have a lot of fat and nitrates(硝酸盐) that you don't want in your body.

    Have more water, milk, fruit and vegetable juice as your main drinks and limit sweet soft drinks. If you get tired of plain water, you may add some lemon and so on. For kids, try some fruit juice without carbonated(含二氧化碳的) water.
