    Today I finished my PE test. As a boy I had three parts. One is the long jump, another is the 1000m race ,the other is dribble in basketball. I did better in the 1000m race. It took me 4 minutes and 20 seconds. But I didn’t do well in the long jump. I only jumped 1.86 meters. I often play basketball in my out-of-class activities. So I have thought I am sure of it. Finally, I got full marks in dribble. This time the PE test is part of the Senior High School entrance test. Most of us are serious about it.

    Japanese students work very hard but many are unhappy. They have heavy pressures from their parents. Child psychologists(心理学家)now think that such strict rules are harmful to the feeling of the students. Almost 40% of the students said that no one had taught them how to get on with others , how to tell right from wrong and how to show love and care for others, even for their parents.

    About 3 months ago, my father was in hospital recovering from a major lung operation. My mother had recently passed away, and my father had taken the loss of his partner of 58 years very hard and had lost interest in life.     I repeated the gesture a few days later, and this time I received a warm hug. I never even thought to ask her name and never saw her again, but it made me realize that a simple act of kindness can bring joy to a person’s unfortunate life.
