I Am Or Is
Lee Ning is twelve. She is a middle school student. She is in Class 4,Grade 1. Her teacher is Mr Zhang,and Lee Ning’s English is not very good.
One day Mr Zhang asks his students to make a sentence with(用造句) “I” in his English class. He looks at the boys and girls and says, “it’s your turn now. ”
Lee Ning stands up and says, “ ‘ I，is . Mr Zhang stops (p且止) her and says impatiently (不耐烦地) ，“I have told you again and again not to say ‘I’ is,understand?”

Jane Warner's husband, Jack,was sent to prison for two years for stealing. While he was in prison, Jane had a very difficult time.
She had two children, but no job. Her husband, of course，did not make any money either. The police immediately went to Jack's house. They took forks and shovels with them. They dug up the garden, looking for the money, but they did not find anything. When they had gone,Mrs Warner wrote to her husband.
"The police came today," she wrote. "They dug up all the grass. What should I do?" Her husband wrote back immediately, "Plant the vegetables."
