A family of four can make nearly 2,000 pounds of rubbish each year. As time goes on, we have fewer places to put all the rubbish in. Recycling is one way to limit (限制) the amount of rubbish we need to put into the land.

The villages of Momai and Bugolyak are next to each other and hidden in the remote (偏远的) high mountains of Tajikistan. Life in the village has been peaceful. There are about 40 families in Momai and 18 in Bugolyak. The villagers live on crops and farm animals. Their connection to the outside world is a hilly road. The villages have no electricity.
