    Stan Lee (Dee. 28, 1922—Nov. 12, 2018) was an American comic book writer, editor, producer, and publisher. Working with several artists, Stan Lee co-created fictional characters including Spider-Man, the Hulk, Doctor Strange, the Fantastic Four, Ant-Man and so on. Now let’s see some of the characters.

    Spider-Man, created by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, first appeared in Amazing Fantasy #15(Aug. 1962). He appears in comic books, as well as movies and TV shows. Known as Peter Parker, he is an orphan raised by his aunt and uncle in New York City after his parents were killed in a plane crash.

    The Hulk, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, first appeared in The Incredible Hulk (May 1962). The character is both the Hulk, a green skinned, heavy and strong humanoid, and Dr. Robert Bruce Banner, a physically weak, quiet, and emotionally reserved（保守的）physicist.

    The Fantastic Four, created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby and known as their first superhero team, first appeared in The Fantastic Four #1 (Nov. 1961). The four got different superpowers after getting close to cosmic rays（宇宙射线）during a scientific task to outer space.

    Ant-Man, created by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber and Jack Kirby, first appeared in Tales to Astonish #35(Sept. 1962). It is the name of several fictional superheroes appearing in comic books punished by Marvel Comics.
