I stood there listening to my father shout at the top of his voice. “Which one of you did this?” We all looked at the step. There was child’s handwriting in blue chalk there. I didn’t tell my dad it was I who did it until many years later. I always felt sorry because of it. I knew that I shouldn’t let anyone take the blame（承担责任）for me.

Mary: You can learn to be brave and independent. You can learn how to effectively talk with and make friends with people you don't know.
Mario: Volunteering to help others also gives you strong feelings of satisfaction and joy. It is very rewarding.
