Each morning a rich man found a poor man sitting on a park bench (长凳). The poor man always sat there, looking at the big hotel in which the rich man lived. One day the rich man got out of his car and said to the poor man, “Excuse me, but I just want to know why you sit here and look at my hotel every morning.” “Sir,” said the poor man, “I am a failure. I have no money, no family, no home. I sleep on this bench, and every night I dream that one day I'll sleep in that hotel.” The rich man said, “Tonight your dream will come true. I'll pay for the best room in that hotel for you for a whole month.”
A few days later, the rich man went by the poor man's room to ask him how he was enjoying himself. To his surprise, he found that the man had moved out of the hotel, back to his park bench. When the rich man asked why, the poor man said, “You see, when I'm down here sleeping on my bench, I dream I'm up there, in that big hotel. It's a wonderful dream. But when I was up there, I dreamed I was back to this cold bench. It was a terrible dream, and I couldn't get any sleep at all.”

Do you keep a diary(日记)every day? Do you think it is great to remember just what you did on a day many years ago? One way to remember each day is to write about it in a diary．Many people write their diaries every day．They write about what they did, what they ate, whom they saw and met, how they did something and how they felt during that day．

FootballThe game is played by two teams. There must be eleven players in each team.
The field must be about 100m long and 73m wide. There are two goals, 7.32m long and 2.44m high.
To score a goal, a player must put the ball into the other team’s goal. They may use their feet, heads or other parts of the body, but they must not touch the ball with their hands. Only one oil each team, the goal-keeper, may use his hands.
Volleyball
This is played on a court 18m long and 9m wide. The net is 2.44m high for men and 2.24m for women. There are two teams and there are usually six players in each team.
The players try to make the ball hit the ground on the other side of the net. They may use their hands, fists or arms, but they must not catch the hall or hold it while playing.
Basketball
The court must be 26m long and 14m wide. There can be ten players in a team but not more than five players in each team may play at one time. The players must not change until the referee allows them to leave the court.
To score a point a player must throw the ball into the other team’s basket.
Players may throw the ball, but they must not carry it. A player must not touch another player.
After 20 minutes play there must be a rest period for ten minutes. Then there is another period of 20 minutes before the game ends.
