Robert had just moved into the street he felt strange that he was not wanted. He knew that perhaps the other boys were trying to get an idea of what kind of a boy he was. We spent a day in the country and picked a lot of flowers. Our car was full of flowers inside! On the way home we had to stop at traffic lights, and there my wife saw the book-shelf. It stood outside a furniture shop.
“Buy it, ” she said at once.
“We'll carry it home on the roof-rack (车顶架). I've always wanted one like that. ”

Two years ago, my husband bought me a bicycle. If you live in a town, it is often faster than a car and you don't have to worry about parking(停车). You can leave it anywhere. As it has a seat at the back and a basket at the front, I can take my small daughter to school, to the library, to the shops, to anywhere.
I use it most in summer when the weather is warm and dry. It can be very unpleasant in winter when it is cold and the rain is heavy.
