borrow和lend都含有“借”的意思，但意义不同。

borrow意为“借来”，相对于主语来说是“借进，借人”。如：Can 1 borrow your umbrella?我能借一下你的伞吗？

borrow 常和from 连用，即borrow sth. from …“从……借进”。如：I borrowed a book from the library yesterday.我昨天从图书馆借了一本书，而lend也是‘借”，但相对于主语来说是“借出”，常和to搭配，即lend sth. to sb.=lend sb. sth.把某物借给某人。如: Could you lend your bike to me?你能把你的自行车借给我吗？
