I'm glad to hear that you want to study abroad in your letter. Here is what I know about what kind of Chinese students are favored in foreign colleges and universities.

As far as I know, the language ability is essential, which helps you communicate with others and makes it easier for you to understand the courses. Besides, you should have the ability to adapt quickly to the new environment. What's more, your interest is valued as well, for it has a lot to do with success.
