I’m sorry that I wasn’t able to return to your bike on time yesterday. I mean to give it back to you before four in the afternoon, and I was hold up on my way back. Just before I turned corner of Park Street, I happened to see an accident. A little girl hurt and her mother needed help. So I helped them going to the nearest hospital. I stayed here for one and a half hour and made sure that the girl was all right. When I got back, it were already 6 p. m. I hope you understand.
Thank you!

3. and→but
4. hold→held
5. turned后加the
6. hurt前加was
7. going→go
8. here→there

10. were→was
I was hold up on my way back.
I mean to give it back to you before four in the afternoon我本打算下午四点前还给你,I was held up on my way back我在回来的路上耽搁了,前后文有明显的转折关系, but作连词表示转折。故and改为but。
the corner of为固定搭配,意为“…… 故turned后加the。
故hurt前加was。
(to) do sth. 故going改为go。
故here改为there。
故were改为was。

We students have been asking about our opinions on opening iPad classrooms. I am in the favor of this plan for the following reason. To begin with, everyone learns different and everyone can get an iPad with many materials that fits his level and learning style. Moreover, getting online, students can talk teachers and classmates easily. We can learn a lot much conveniently than ever. Besides, paper is no longer a necessity, but it is environmentally﹣friendly to open iPad classrooms. Most importantly, students are interesting in this new way of learning. I hope our school can take their idea into consideration and I am looking forward to attending an iPad class.

In 2012, Mary Davis, who works at an enrichment center .for young children, and her husband, Ari Kadin, who is in property management, were expecting their first child when Davis miscarried (流产). They were desperately heartbroken. But the couple, who were volunteering with adults in a Skid Row homeless shelter, refused to let their heartbreak break them.
"In 2013, our child would have been one year old,” says Davis, 38, "and we kept seeing these kids at the shelter, and I said to my husband, 'We couldn't throw a birthday party for our child, so let's do it for these kids. '"
They took over a room in the Union Rescue Mission and filled it with streamers (飘带), gifts, a cake — all the makings of a great party. Since then, the couple has thrown a party every month.
