¡¾´ð°¸¡¿Dear Xiao Dong,
I¡¯m sorry you are having trouble in learning English in senior high school. However, the situation is easy to change if you take my advice. Here are some tips to help you.
Firstly, why not try to communicate with others in English? If you do so, you will feel confident gradually. Also, don¡¯t be afraid of making mistakes because everyone makes mistakes. Secondly, you should keep on reading aloud English sentences every morning and evening. That way, you¡¯ll learn many important expressions. Thirdly, it would be a good idea if you read more English newspapers and watch English movies.
I hope you¡¯ll find these ideas useful.
Yours,
Li Hua

We are now living in a information age, in which TV, cells and the Web are wide used. It seem that many people cannot enjoy themselves without it. However, if I were to give up one of them, I would rather turn off TV than to switch off my cell or cut off the Internet. I could do without TV because few shows took my fancy and there are too many commercials. Besides, most programs on TV are available elsewhere, either. As for cells and the Web, they are less necessary for me. I need a cell to keep in touch my friend and my family.

I was a poor black worker in South Africa. It was in 1952 1 I first met Nelson Mandela. Because of my poor family, I had to leave the school 2 I studied for only two years. Fortunately, Mandela offered 3 (guide) to black people on their legal problems. He was generous with his time, for 4 I was very grateful.
Mandela was warm-hearted and reliable, with 5 help, I was 6 (determine) to join the ANC Youth League and I became 7 (hope) about my future.
Mandela told me that we 8 (reach) a stage where we had almost no rights at all. 9 Mandela said, we chose 10 (attack) the laws. I knew it would help us achieve our dream of making black and white people equal.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿Tchaikovsky, a famous Russian composer of the late-Romantic period, was born on 7 May 1840 in the mountains of western Russia. He was the first Russian composer whose music made a lasting impression internationally. Tchaikovsky¡¯s training set him on a path to combine what he had learned with the native musical practices to which he had been exposed from childhood. He first helped write a song in 1844, at an age when most children are still in kindergarten. At home, his mother sang folk songs, which helped develop his interest in music. Mozart was Tchaikovsky¡¯s favourite composer and he influenced Tchaikovsky¡¯s life and work. For 11 years, beginning in 1866, Tchaikovsky taught at the Moscow School of Music. During his time there, he wrote music for the piano, along with ballets, operas and symphonies. He was famous for writing the music for the ballet Swan Lake in 1876. Because of his musical talent, Tchaikovsky toured many countries as a conductor, including a voyage to the USA in 1891. He continued to write for the ballet until his death in Saint Petersburg in 1893.

¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿Many people don't realize the importance of music education in the schools today. A new study showed, however, music education is extremely important.
In college, music education is one of the largest programs. Teachers have to learn general education materials and techniques. They must learn to play every instrument; they must learn music history and music theory; they must learn instrument repair and teaching methods; they must learn conducting and so much more. At the same time, much of our culture and tradition is absorbed in music.
Music plays a very important role in our education.
Music helps with math and science. Students learn to count, and how to multiply and divide. Students also use science to help them discover what sounds good together and what doesn¡¯t. Students also need science to understand something called the ¡°overtone series", which is about how music is produced by vibration£¨²ü¶¯£©and why.
Students learn a lot about languages through music£®Many songs are written in other languages, including ancient ones. Students must learn to translate these works to understand what they are singing about. A song is likely to be a famous short work set to music; so students are exposed to that very often while singing.
Students learn a huge amount of cooperation £¨Ð×÷£©of body parts through music, so parts of the body can work better together. Students must use motor£¨¼¡ÈâÔ˶¯µÄ£©skills in order to play an instrument. Singers and wind£¨¹ÜÀÖÆ÷£©players must learn breath control and be in good shape to play.
Students learn about art. Some famous pieces were written about important pieces of art, and students learn about the artists and styles as they're playing the music.
Music education also brings higher thinking to our children. It allows them to think about complex patterns. Students have to be aware of what every other musician does at every time. In that way, it develops cooperation, as well. They tend to develop more ability for learning.
As one can see, music is very important to education.

A good student will always make a proper study plan, with which he can study more effective.
There was once a time I listened to the teacher carefully in class and always did my homework on time. Every day I was as busy as a bee. I had no free time. Therefore, I had a few after-school activities. However, I couldn¡¯t understand that I didn¡¯t get good marks. So I asked my headteacher Mr. Li with help. He advised me to have a proper study pan make. I took her advice. After I stick to the plan for a month, I made rapid progresses. What made me even happy was that I had much more time to develop my own interests.
