The other day after work, I was walking down the street while I saw a boy riding a nice unicycle, one of those bicycle with only one wheel. Dressing in all pink from head to toe, he was singing a song which was sounded like a kid¡¯s song. I thought he must be total crazy. Just then, a lady dropped 20-dollar bill on the ground, but he didn¡¯t realize it and started to walk away. The guy in pink picked out the money and gave it back to her. After that, he rode on but soon disappeared before the lady could thank him. How a strange and good guy!

Hi Lana,

I am 61 years old and I am from New Zealand. I start teaching in China last February.

I decided that I reached 60 years I would like to do something different. I was lucky to have got a degree in English, that helped me find a job as a teacher in China. Now I work with two Canadian teacher. One, 57, has been here for four years, and the other, 63, have been teaching here for 6 years. He married with a lovely Chinese lady. The Chinese people are hard-working but the students are so willing to learn.

How an interesting country to live in!

I feel safer here than anywhere I lived. I have found her tips on teaching so usefully.

Thank you!

Dave

My brother used to ask me question whenever he did his homework, that made me annoyed. But every time he accepted my explanations I feel that I was the smartest person in the world. Answered his questions, I always liked to say that he was so stupid to solve such simple problems.

Last week both of them got the report cards from our school. Unexpectedly, I got a lot of Bs, though he got As. To make things worse, all that day my brother screamed how foolish it was for me not to ask questions! I could say nothing but admit that he was right. I have never made a fun of him since then.

Customer service refers to the way that companies behave towards their customers. ¡¾1¡¿ However, many a time organizations don¡¯t focus on customer relationship management, and that¡¯s what makes customers angry, which is one of the reasons why companies lose their customers. ¡¾2¡¿

First of all, you need to realize the great value of the customers. It¡¯s they who are the boss, and it¡¯s because of them that you get your pay checks. So do take your customers seriously.

¡¾3¡¿ You need to ask the customers the right kind of questions and think of the possible solutions which you can provide. Understand how they feel according to a particular situation, their body language, tone of voice and words they speak. Never make assumptions £¨Òܶϣ©and think that you know what the customers want.

¡¾4¡¿ Treat customers as individuals and the best way to do that is using their first name and finding ways of praising them in a sincere way.

In addition, there are some other skills which will help you in serving your customers better. For example, once you finish solving the problem for the customers, before ending the call, always remember to ask if there is anything else you can do for them. End the call with a ¡°thank you¡±. If the customers are angry, let them express their anger completely. ¡¾5¡¿ Once they¡¯ve finished speaking, try to calm them down by apologizing.

In a word, always remember that if the customers remain happy, you¡¯ll be in business.

A. Never or start speaking until they¡¯ve finished.

B. You can bring in as many new customers as you want.

C. So customer service is important and you should know how to improve it.

D. Finding out the needs of the customers is another important customer service tip.

E. Making customers feel they are important is an excellent way to serve them better.

F. It¡¯s the quality of service that determines whether the customer remains with the company.

G. More companies are finding that their customer service should not be limited to Stores.

How to unlock your talent

Search

To find your hidden talent (²ÅÄÜ), you¡¯ll have to search for it! We all know people who are great at drawing or good at sports, don¡¯t we? They¡¯re the lucky ones who have a natural talent for what they love doing. ¡¾1¡¿ It¡¯s just that we might have to look a little bit harder, that¡¯s all!

Try

¡¾2¡¿ Developing a new talent takes time and lots of effort, so don¡¯t worry if you haven¡¯t discovered yours by the end of the day, the week or even the month. You will get your light-bulb (Áé¸Ð) moment finally!

Ask

Ask for help to get you started. Do you have an aunt who can help you start a blog or a sporty mom who¡¯ll get active with you? ¡¾3¡¿ Sometimes we don¡¯t need to look further than our own families to see what skills can be passed down to us!

¡¾4¡¿

Find out what excites you! The more enthusiastic (ÈÈÇéµÄ) you are about a hobby, the more you¡¯ll want to keep doing it. And, you¡¯ve guessed it, the more you keep doing it, the better you¡¯ll get!

New ideas

Be open to new ideas. There¡¯s no point saying that you can¡¯t write a book or take amazing photos if you¡¯ve never really tried. ¡¾5¡¿

A. Get excited

B. Don¡¯t give up

C. It won¡¯t happen overnight.

D. Is your grandma great at making cakes?

E. Make today your day to try something new.

F. Have you ever doubted what you¡¯re doing now?

G. But that doesn¡¯t mean we can¡¯t all find something we¡¯re good at.
