A major source of teen stress is school exams, and test anxiety is not uncommon. When you recognize your teen is under stress, how can parents help your teen stay calm before an exam?

Be involved. Parents need to be involved in their teen¡¯s work. ¡¾1¡¿ What they look for is your presence ¡ª to talk, to cry, or simply to sit with them quietly. Communicate openly with your teen. Encourage your teen to express her worries and fears, but don¡¯t let them focus on those fears.

Help them get organized. ¡¾2¡¿ Together , you and your teen can work out a time¡ªtable in which she can study for what she knows will be on the test.

Provide a calm setting. Help your teen set up a quiet place to study and protect his privacy. Give them a nutritious diet. It is important for your teen to eat a healthy, balanced diet during exam times to focus and do her best. ¡¾3¡¿ If this happens, encourage your teen to eat light meals or sandwiches. A healthy diet, rather than junk food, is best for reducing stress.

¡¾4¡¿ Persuade your teenager to get some sleep and /or do something active when she needs a real break from studying. Making time for relaxation, fun, and exercise are all important in reducing stress. Help your teen balance her time so that she will feel comfortable taking time out from studying to spend time with friends or rest.

Show a positive attitude. ¡¾5¡¿ Your panic, anxiety andspan> blame contribute to your teen¡¯s pressure. Make your teen feel accepted and valued for her efforts. Most importantly, reassure your teen that things will be all right, no matter what the results are.

A. A parent¡¯s attitude will affect their teen¡¯s emotions.

B. Exam stress can make some teens lose their appetite.

C. They will only make the situation worse.

D. Encourage your teen to relax.

E. The best thing is simply to listen.

F. Help your teen think about what she has to study and plan accordingly.

G. Your teen may also make negative comments about themselves

The modern Olympic Games are the biggest sports meeting in the world, it include 2 sets of Games, the Winter and the Summer Olympics. Both held every 4 years. All countries can take part in. Only athletes who have reached the agreeing standard for their events will be admitted into competitors.

Women are not only allowed to join in and play a very important role in many events. A special village is built for the competitors to live in. The great number of buildings such like stadiums, swimming pools and gymnasiums are built for competitions. It¡¯s a great responsible and honor to host the Olympics. The olive wreath has been replaced by medals, but the motto of the Olympics is still ¡°Swift, Higher, and Stronger¡±.

Usually summer break provides teens with an opportunity to get away from the boring life of going to school, to visit friends and have fun with them, and to make a little extra money. The summer job market for teens can be highly competitive. Half-heartedly (²»ÈÏÕæµØ£©looking for a job is the quickest way to get turned down over and over. ¡¾1¡¿

¡¾2¡¿ Look at the skills required for each. Then compare these skills with those you already have. The closer the match, the more likely you will enjoy your summer job while building a good reference for future jobs.

Understanding why you want to work will also help you determine where to apply. Do you want to earn extra money for something special, or do you need the job to make ends meet? ¡¾3¡¿ These are just a few of the questions you need to answer before starting your job search.

When you¡¯re searching for a summer job, look for help beyond the wanted signs. ¡¾4¡¿ And even if a business doesn¡¯t have a sign or advertisement indicating that they are looking for help, stop by and ask a manager. You might fill in an application anyway, which could lead to a position in the future.

¡¾5¡¿ Ice cream shops, restaurants, grocery stores and movie theaters commonly hire students. You might take a job that has less desirable hours or that you don¡¯t necessarily enjoy. However, summer jobs don¡¯t last forever. You can still build your skills and experience while making money.

A. Here are some tips on finding summer jobs.

B. Take time to think about the types of jobs that are suitable for you.

C. Be flexible and creative when you¡¯re looking for a summer job.

D. If you are poor in math, you probably would lose your job.

E. Let your family, neighbors and teachers know that you¡¯re looking for a job.

F. A good attitude towards work sometimes can make up for lack of skills.

G. Are you looking for a job where your friends work, so you can be with them?

At that time, I was having a trouble studying English and my scores fell. Ms. Li encouraged me and tell me her story that she never gave up before her studies didn¡¯t go well. She also said that it was necessary to make efforts so that I would not regret waste time. Her words were the best medicine because she stood in her shoes to deal with problems and gave me helpful advices. She didn¡¯t simple comfort me. Her teaching methods also worked. It had never occurred me that studying could be so interested until I met Ms. Li.

I used to go to countryside to draw animals and plants. One day I was walking across a field looking for rabbits to draw them. Lost in thought, I hadn¡¯t notice a bull running towards me. About 100 metre ahead was a tree under that I would sit and draw. Sudden, I heard a noise behind me. I turned and saw the bull. Knowing a bull can run fast than a man, I quickly reached the tree but climbed up. From there I saw the bull kicking my food bag by its feet. It kept done this for 15 minutes and finally moved away.

Ms. Mary was over eighty, but she still drove her old car like half her age. She loved driving very fast, and boasted (´µÐê) of the fact ¡¾1¡¿ she had never, in her thirty-five years of driving, been punished ¡¾2¡¿ a driving mistake.

Then one day, she nearly lost her record. A police car followed her, and the policemen in it saw her pass a red light without ¡¾3¡¿ (stop).

When Ms. Mary came before the judge, he looked at her ¡¾4¡¿ (serious) and said that she was too old to drive a car, and that the reason ¡¾5¡¿ she had not stopped at red light was most probably that her eyes had become weak with old age, so she had simply not seen it.

When the judge had finished what he was saying, Ms. Mary opened the big handbag she was carrying and took out her sewing. Without saying a word, she ¡¾6¡¿ (choose) a needle with a very small eye, and threaded it at the first time.

When she had successfully done this, she took the thread out of the needle again and handed ¡¾7¡¿ the needle and thread to the judge, saying, ¡°Now it is ¡¾8¡¿ (you) turn. I suppose you can drive a car well, and you have no doubts about your eyesight.¡±

The judge took the needle and tried to thread it. After half a dozen times, he had still not ¡¾9¡¿ (success). The case against Ms. Mary ¡¾10¡¿ (dismiss), and her record remained unbroken.
