As a teenager，looking for your first part-time job can seem like a daunting task．When you haven’t had any experience in a workplace，have never been through an interview，and don't know where to start in writing a resume（履历表），the task can seem impossible．So，how do you go about getting your first job?
Put together a simple resume
Many part-time j ob seekers believe that they don’t need a resume，or think that “Well，I don't really have anything to put on a resume，so why bother?” There are two reasons why you should．Firstly，having a resume to give to your prospective employer shows that you've put some effort into finding a job．Secondly，having a printed resume allows you to show those things about you that you want the employer to remember，which can set you apart from the crowd．
Appearance matters
Make sure when you head out the door，you are well dressed．You don't need to be in suit，but you should at least look presentable．
Prepare for “No”
Before you go to apply anywhere，you need to prepare yourself for rejection．As a first time job seeker，you need to mentally prepare for someone to say “No”．However，there is both a right and wrong way to respond to a business owner who says they have no need for you．If you get a “No，I'm sorry” you should respond by saying，“Well，if you do need someone in future，please give me a call．I'll leave you a copy of my resume．Thanks for your time．” This shows the manager that you are serious about getting a job，and you have demonstrated the ability to follow up．Simply walking away from the store shows the manager that _________the job．
