Nowadays almost everyone has realized that smoking is harmful to people's health and more and more smokers have given up smoking. However among middle school students, smoking can be seen more and more often. Young smokers are also found in our school, that's too bad.

It is known that smoking can cause different kinds of diseases. It has bad effect on one's respiratory system, lung and blood vessels of heart. It is reported that smokers have four times of more chances of getting cancer of lung than nonsmokers. It is even worse for young people who are still in physical development. Smoking is also harmful to those who don't smoke themselves, such as children, women and old people, and the bad effect is even larger to them. Sometimes smoking causes fires.
