    Time flies! This is a third year that I have been in this school. In the past two and a half years, our school had organized many activities. What impressed me more was an activity called “Learning to Farm”. In an autumn afternoon, we were sent to a farm which we learned to plant potatoes. Having been in the city for so a long time, we were very happy to go to the countryside. After divided into three groups, we started to work. Some students cut potatoes into pieces; some dug holes, and the others put the pieces of potatoes into the hole, put the earth back and pushed them down hard. We continued doing that until all the work was done. Although we were exhausted, but we felt fulfilled on our way back home.

    Keep your dog warm. The best place for your dog in winter is inside your house. Do not keep your dog outside when it is cold and wet. At home you can also keep the dog warm with the help of carpets. This will make him comfortable and help him to recover fast.

    Increase the fluid（流质）intake as it helps a lot. Water can be the best choice but you can also add broth（肉汤）in water which will give your dog strength. Warm water will make your dog more comfortable and will also keep the dog away from the respiratory infections（呼吸道感染）.

    Steam treatment is considered to be effective in getting rid of cold. It makes the nasal（鼻的）passage wet, which helps proper breathing. Just fill your bathroom with steam and leave your dog inside the bathroom for 15 minutes. Do it nearly 2 to 3 times a day and you will see your dog recovering.

    These are some of the things you can do to help your dog recover from cold. However, if you are not able to find any improvement in its health, then turn to the vet for help immediately. Take your dog for regular checkups so as to avoid complications（并发症）.

    (NEW YORK) A French tourist highly praised for rescuing a two-year-old girl in Manhattan said he didn’t think twice before diving into the freezing East River.

    The new study shows that we spend more time using the mobile Internet reading newspaper or magazines. According to the European Interactive Advertising Association(ELAA), the average European spends 4.8 hours reading newspaper and magazines but 1.6 hours more using the mobile Internet a week.

    The EIAA questioned 15,000 people in 15 European countries, looking at how people are using the Internet and its influence on their everyday lives. In the UK, 10 million people mow access the Internet through their mobile phones and spend 6.3 hours doing so in a week.

    Unsurprisingly younger generations in the UK are leading the way, with nearly half of the country’s 16-to-24-year-olds and a quarter of 25-to-34-year-olds using the mobile Internet, spending 6.5 and 6.2 hours online each week.

    Entertainment plays a major role in our mobile Internet lives, with one in five British people using their phones for online games, a third listening to the online radio and 39 percent watching films . TV or other videos at least once a week. One third of those using an Internet phone said they received videos, imager or other multimedia on their mobile, and 61 percent said they passed on contents they received.

    From a communication point of view, 80 percent of those questioned agreed that the Internet made it easier for them to stay in touch with friends and family.

    Alison Fennah, director of the EIAA, said the mobile Internet use had come to the point that marketers should be looking to develop strategies that connect with consumers more effectively. “Better devices as well as improved consumer motivation that start coming together in 2011can make a great difference to extending the online experience.” Fennah said.
