    你知道什么是“低碳生活（low-carbon life）”吗？简单地说，低碳生活就是：减少二氧化碳的排放，低能量、低消耗、低开支的生活。全球环境逐步恶化，所以你倡议你的同学们加入“低碳一族”。要点如下：
    多用手洗衣服。
    多走楼梯，少用电梯。
    到超市购物自备购物袋。
    步行或骑自行车上学。

    With the global warming getting increasingly worse, more people are aware of this serious problem and choose to live a low-carbon life for the purpose of reducing greenhouse gases. As students, we also have the responsibility to change our lifestyle to fit in with the world better. The following are some small things that may lead to big improvement of the environment.
    To begin with, wash your clothes by hand as much as possible instead of using washing machines. Secondly, don’t take elevators unless it is necessary. Using stairs does good to both your health and the environment. Thirdly, remember to bring your own shopping bags when you go to the supermarket. Lastly, go to school on foot or by bicycle. Buses produce carbon too.

    As I got into a taxi one afternoon, the driver was very angry about something that had happened to him earlier that day. Here’s how he told the story:
