I'm glad to know that you are coming to China with your parents and spend the Spring Festival here．The Spring Festival is one of the most important traditional festivals in China．It has a long history．It is said that ancient people celebrated it to drive a demon，Nian away．It falls on the first day of the lunar year and lasts 15 days．During the Spring Festival，we have many activities．People usually put on couplets and set off firecrackers．Children are most excited because they can receive lucky money．
As for my family，it's a time of reunion and relaxation．In the evening before the Spring Festival，all my relatives will get together and have a big meal．During the following days we not only visit our friends but also go to temple fairs to buy all kinds of things．All of us enjoy this festival and I'm sure you will have fun if you come．
