    8．Ruth Posner was seven years old when her life started to change．It was 1937and she was living in Warsaw with her parents．Posner was Jewish，but went to a Catholic school．At home，her family spoke Polish．She identified herself first as a Pole．
    Now，72years later，Ruth is re-enacting（重现） her story in a play．She is taking part in a production called Who Do We Think We Are．
    In memory of the unforgettable days，Ruth is acting out the story of how she escaped from the Warsaw Ghetto（贫民窟）．She lived there with her parents，who were later tragically taken to Treblinka，the concentration camp，where they were killed．She tells me："The unfortunate story is that my father wanted to save me．"
    Her father helped Ruth get a job"working at a leather factory outside the ghetto．He also managed to acquire a false passport for her，giving her a Catholic name and identity．The plan was to escape during one of her regular trips to the bathhouse，where workers were taken weekly．
    "We were marched with guards on each side and marched back again，"explains Ruth，"This is my chance．"The brave girl managed to run out of the bathhouse and on to the Aryan side of the road．"It was sheer luck（运气）．It was always，you might be lucky and you might not be．But it was worth taking that chance．"says Ruth Posner．"Like a cat，I have many lives，I think．"
