    Today my daughter and I went to sell eggs at a parking lot.It is a really cold day.I didn't even want to go outside. As we pulled into parking lot,we saw a man sat on the side of the road.He was holding a paper plate which said "I need help!".

    He was still sitting there as we left for the parking lot,and I asked my daughter "Should they get him some food and some money?"and she said "OK.".So I pulled up next to him,got out of the car,but gave him all my egg money.I still had another dozen egg in the car,and asked if he wanted them,but he said no.I felt freezing just standing there talking with him for a minute,and he must have been sitting there since hours.

    I'm glad we stopped,got out of the car and talked with him for a minute.I hope he will have a warm and comfort place to sleep tonight.

    【解析】第一处：因为整段用的是过去式，故is应该改为was。

    第二处：由于此处可通过语境可知这里是特指一个停车场，故此处应加一个the。

    第三处：这里是固定搭配see sb doing sth，故sat改为sitting。

    第四处：这里是固定用法离开某地是用leave sp，故这里应去掉for。

    第五处：此处根据语境可知这里是问我们应该给他一些食物吗，故they改为we。

    第六处：这里是表达一个并列关系而非转折，故but改为and。

    第七处：egg是可数名词，所以当前面没有冠词的时候用复数，故egg改为eggs。

    I am travelling back with my parents from seeing my grandparents then it started to snow. At first, I thought it was fun and everything looked beautifully. I was looking forward to make a snowman on the playground at school the next day, and suddenly the car drove off road and into a channel. My father called the rescue team, but they said that would be a long time before they could reach us. However, we sang songs and told stories to pass the time.     Once a man asked a painter to painting a picture for him. He told the artist he didn't want any shadows in the picture, just sunshine, but the artist did so. When the man saw the finishing picture, he was disappointing. Without shadows, everything in the picture looks flat and unreal.     “I keep cheques worth thousands of rupees (卢比) for the Charkha Sangh,” Jamnalal Bajaj said laughingly, “yet you won’t trust me with a copper coin.” “This copper coin is worth much more than those thousands,” Mahatma Gandhi said. “If a man has one hundred thousand rupees and he gives away a thousand or two, it doesn’t mean much.” “But this coin was perhaps all that the poor lady possessed. She gave me all she had. That was very generous of her. What a great sacrifice she made. That is why I value this copper coin more than ten millions of rupees.”
