    20．Teamwork is all about working together to achieve a common goal or purpose．Is teamwork out of date？Why it is so hard to effectively conduct teamwork in those things？
    One way we employ teamwork in everyday lives is by becoming a parent．It is a parent's job to teach their children the fundamental skills and give them the knowledge they need to be successful in life．So why is teamwork disappearing in this aspect of our lives？Well in today's society，we find that more and more parents are experiencing that the teamwork is one-sided thing．According to a 2009report from the US，there are 13.7million single parents raising their children in the US and this amount could be due to the fact that parents are not stepping up and taking responsibility for their children or they don't have the means to，so they leave one parent to do it by themselves．This is a saddening fact，but it reflects that effective teamwork is losing ground in the parenting aspect of our everyday lives．
    Another place where teamwork affects us greatly is in our jobs．It doesn't matter if you are a small or large company； if you have at least one employee and yourself，then teamwork will be present．I have noticed that with the current economic recession（衰退），people are racing to grab jobs but the quality of people work has gone down greatly．It just appears to me that people do not take part in their work anymore．They want to get to work and work as fast as they can，just to receive the paycheck，but their quality standards   flew right out the window．This type of behavior is where I think teamwork is losing its ground in the workforce．There are too many people who want to work independently and forget they are a part of a team．
    As you can see，we run into the aspects of teamwork in just about everything we do．Do you believe teamwork is really losing ground in today's society？I think it is．What's your opinion？

    4．Franklin Chang-Diaz was born in Costa Rica in 1950．His family moved to Venezuela soon after，where he had an experience that changed his life forever．When Franklin was 6years old，he learned that Russia had launched the first satellite，Sputnik 1．The idea of space travel made the boy excited．Franklin climbed into a tree and watched the sky until the next morning，dreaming of what it would be like to fly among the stars．
    After that night，Franklin put his whole heart into one goal：becoming an astronaut．He wrote to rocket scientist Werner won Braun and asked him for advice．The scientist wrote back suggesting that Franklin study math and science in the United States．
    Even though studying in the United States seemed like an impossible dream，Franklin had decided he would do whatever it took to travel into space．After graduating from high school in Costa Rica，Franklin worked hard to save money so that he could go to the United States to realize his dream．With only $50in his pocket，Franklin moved to Connecticut．Even though he did not speak English and he had already graduated from high school，he entered high school in Connecticut．By the end of the school year，he had earned prize money set for students to help finish college education to the University of Connecticut．His education had only just begun．Eight years later，Franklin Chang-Diaz earned his ph．D．in physics．
    Chang-Diaz began realizing his dream of space travel in 1981．The National Aeronautics and Space Administration （NASA） had 19astronaut jobs to offer．Thousands of scientists applied for the jobs，and Chang-Diaz was one of the few chosen．After 5years of training，he rocketed into space aboard the space shuttle Columbia，from which he studied Halley's comet and made several scientific experiments．
    Chang-Diaz dreams about the day when people will be able to travel long distances to other planets and stars．And Chang-Diaz doesn't stop there．He researches the connection between the rain forest and space．What's the next for this fearless explorer？The sky's limit!
