    The U．S．citizens'economic rights are still under challenge．Unemployment rates are high in the US．In 2007，nearly 80% people aged 25to 54in the U．S．had a job．In 2013，only about 76% people in that age group were working．Wealth gap in the US is widening．More than 47million U．S．people living in poverty in 2012，and the poverty rate reached 15%．About 6.4million people aged 65and older were poor．The current gap between America's rich and poor is the widest in history from 2012all the way back to 1913．The richest 10percent's share of total income was 50.4% in 2012．
    According to a survey carried out in 2012，at least 136African-Americans were killed by policemen or security guards in the year．A latest report said that despite the fact that drug use was about the same for both black and white Americans，blacks were four times as likely as whites to be arrested for drug possession．
    Some mainstream media，social organizations and politicians declare racist comments．On October 16，2013，American Broadcasting Company's Jimmy Kimmel Show aired a remark saying"kill everyone in China"and promoted racial hatred．It aroused unease and protests from Asian Americans especially Chinese Americans．
    Sex discrimination（歧视） is still serious，and children's rights are not well protected in the United States．Women are facing serious employment discrimination．On average，women made about 81% of the earnings of male full-time wage and salary．Women's average annual income is $11，500less than that of men's．Women experienced frequent violent and sexual attacks．
