选项中F是一个问句,且其中的“make sure you’re the kind of neighbor people want to spend time with(确定你是人们想共度时间的那种邻居)”与空格后一句中的“make a good first and lasting impression(形成好的第一印象和后续印象)”呼应。
选项E中的“A “looking forward to meeting you” type note(盼望见到你这样类型的卡片)”与前一句中的“card”呼应。
选项A中的“Help When You Can.(能帮忙的时候就帮忙)”与其呼应。故选A。

选项G中的“With these tips”与第一段尾句中的“Here are some tips”在篇章结构上前后呼应,并且是经典的总结概括的句型。
总说处空格引出下文内容,一般会有here are some…/ The followings are… 总结处空格一般都会有像thus, as a result, so, therefore, with…

【题目】“Anywhere they play in Bangkok, I’ll be there,” said Warin Nithihiranyakul, 73, a dedicated fan of the Sai Yong Hong Chinese Opera troupe(剧团)for more than 10 years. While waiting for his friends to arrive, he helps out by starting to set up plastic red chairs for the audience to watch the evening’s performance in an area just south of Bangkok’s Chinatown. A devotee of 11 years, Wandee Tengyodwanich, 62, says that Sai Yong Hong is the best Chinese opera in Thailand because it invests in very splendid costumes. She and her friends go to see the group a couple of times a year. They eat and catch up as they recall the first time they saw Chinese opera as children.
They are part of a shrinking community of people that has formed around Chinese opera in Thailand. They are preserving a cornerstone of culture and heritage(遗产)dating to the seventh-century Tang Dynasty, making it one of the oldest dramatic art forms in the world. Like so much of Chinese opera throughout the world, the performances are a product of a large Chinese migration. Sai Yong Hong is one of about 20 Chinese opera troupes in Thailand. The audience consists mostly of older Thai-Chinese adults, some of whom take their grandchildren to connect with a cultural memory that has been passed down for generations.
Chinese migration to Thailand can be traced to the 13th century. Today about 14 percent of the population is ethnically(人种上)Chinese, making Thailand the home of one of the world’s largest Chinese communities outside China.
For many of the actors, the stage is home. Women could not even touch the shrine(神龛), only men were allowed; now the whole industry has changed. As the community ages and audiences decrease, there is a fear that the art will die out. Performers face uncertain futures. Mr. Tatchai, who is Chinese and Thai, has been in the industry since he was 7. He has seen the changes as well, and he said he thought the industry would continue to get smaller but would not go away. “As long as Chinese shrines exist and people continue praying,” he said, “the Chinese opera will be here.”

The time children spend outdoors could be linked to a reduced risk of being short-sighted, research suggests.
An analysis of eight previous studies by University of Cambridge researchers found that for each additional hour spent outside per week, the risk of short-sightedness was reduced by 2%.They said exposure to natural light and time spent looking at distant objects could be key factors.
The studies involved more than 10,000 children and adolescents. Dr Justin Sherwin and his research team concluded that short-sighted children spent an average of 3.7 fewer hours per week outdoors than those who either had normal vision or were far-sighted.
But they said the reasons were not yet clear. They expected to find that children who spent more time outdoors also spent less time doing activities like reading, studying or playing computer games, but no such link was found in two of the eight studies which looked at this relationship.
However, Dr Sherwin said they would now need more precise data to try to understand which factors, such as increased use of distance vision, reduced use of near vision, natural ultraviolet(紫外线的) light exposure and physical activity, are most important.
“Any increase in time spent outdoors must be weighed against exposure to ultraviolet radiation and the increased risk of skin cancer, cataracts(白内障)and other cancers.” he said."On the other hand, increasing outdoor physical activity could protect against diabetes and obesity, for example."
Short-sightedness is a common eye condition that causes distant objects to appear blurred(模糊不清的), while close objects can be seen clearly. It is much more common today in the UK and the United States than it was just 30 to 40 years ago. Approximately 1-2% of five-year-olds to seven-year-olds in the UK have short-sightedness. About. five million British people are short-sighted and some 200,000 of them will be seriously short-sighted. In some parts of Asia, more than 80% of the population suffers from short-sightedness.
