¡¾ÌâÄ¿¡¿Le Val de Cantobre, Aveyron (France)

It¡¯s in the grounds of a medieval house. There¡¯s a swimming pool, a river and a pizza restaurant. The scenery (¾°É«) around the park is beautiful and great for walking. A week¡¯s stay will cost you about 280.

For more information please go to www.eurocamp.co.uk.

Four Seasons Tented Camp, Golden Triangle (Thailand)

This must be one of the best campsites ( Ò°ÓªµØ) in the world. Instead of tents, there are ¡°canvas cabins (·«²¼´¬²Õ)¡±. And there¡¯s a gourmet restaurant, a spa and a pool. There are only 15 of cabins to rent so you¡¯ll have to book early. The campsite can only be reached by river boat, but once there you can learn to ride an elephant. Unfortunately, it isn¡¯t cheap, and two nights at the Four Seasons will cost you about 1,500!

For more information please go to www.Fourseasons.com/goldentriangle.

Three Cliffs Bay, Gower (Wales)

The Three Cliffs Bay is in a beautiful part of the country, and it won¡¯t cost you much either: a family tent (2 adults, 2 children) is about 28 a day. There¡¯s a camp shop where you can buy food and drinks, and there are pubs and restaurants nearby so you won¡¯t even have to cook. You can water-ski from the beach, or go walking along the Gower Way.

For more information please go to www.Threecliffsbay.com.

Longitude 131, Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park (Australia)

Situated in the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, near the massive (¾Þ´óµÄ) red rock formerly known as Ayer¡¯s Rock, this is more like a hotel than acampsite. There¡¯s a restaurant, a pool and even a library. The only problem is that it¡¯s a bit expensive ¡ª around 1,500 a night.

For more information please go to www.Longitude131.com.au.

Last month, students from one hundred and three universities in eighty-eight countries took part in an international computer programming contest. The Battle of the Brains took place in Harbin, China. ¡¾1¡¿

Jerry Cain, coach of Stanford University Team, California, says ¡°One of the programming problems was trying to figure out how to break a chocolate bar into a certain number of pieces of a certain number of sizes and to do it as quickly as possible. ¡¾2¡¿ ¡±

The students first listed the problems in order of difficulty. ¡¾3¡¿ They designed ways to test their solutions. And they wrote needed software systems. Even the winning team from Shanhai Jiaotong University in China was not able to solve all the problems within the given time limit. Stanford¡¯s team solved five problems and finished in 14th place. Stanford was one of twenty-one American universities that took part in the contest this year.

¡¾4¡¿. It began in 1970 at Texas A and M University. The contest quickly became popular in the United States and Canada. It developed and grew as more and more schools took part in local and area contests.

The first final competition was held in 1977 at the Association for Computer Machinery Computer Science Conference. Today, a network of universities holds area competitions that send the winners to the world finals, now organized by IBM. Contest spokesman Doug Heintzman says the world champions receive prizes and scholarships. ¡¾5¡¿

A. The competitors show great interest in IBM.

B. Then they figuredspan> out the requirements of each.

C. And that¡¯s probably the simplest of all of them.

D. This competition is an opportunity to be recognized by famous universities from the world.

E. Three-person teams from each school had five hours to solve eleven real world problems.

F. The official name of the Battle of the Brains is the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest.

G. They are also guaranteed an offer of employment with IBM.

It is challenging for some people to learn how to be patient with others. After all, not everybody is gifted with great patience. The good news is that it is something that can be learned and eventually perfected.

When the customer before you takes ages to pay for his or her groceries, you tap your foot impatiently and cough every now and then to remind the customer to move quickly; but no, he is still not hurrying up. It takes all of your power not to quarrel publicly. However, if you imagine that customer to be someone you like, then you will find yourself not getting angry, right?

So the next time you find yourself losing patience with somebody, simply think of that person to be someone you really adore and your patience will last longer.

The second step on how to be patient with people involves whistling. When you whistle a happy tune, you instantly cheer up. You can sing your favorite song if you can't whistle ¡ª it really doesn't make a difference. What's important here is that you have done something that makes you feel good. And when you feel good, you are more likely to be patient with the people around you.

When you're stressed, it's almost impossible to learn how to be patient with people. You have got to find a way to relax first. If you know you're going to be in a situation where your patience will be tested, get yourself a massage(°´Ä¦) first. Remember: the more stressed you are, the faster you'll lose your temper. However, learning how to be patient with people is not a must in life.
